ABOUT NICOLE

Most reverse mortgage originators come from the “forward” mortgage field, often drifting over when other mortgage markets decline, but I came in through a different door.  I first learned about reverse mortgages from where you’re probably sitting right now – the borrower side.  Several years ago, I asked a very simple question of my father.  When are you going to replace Mom’s old car?  I could have left it alone when he told me they didn’t want to take on a new payment for awhile, and figured it was their business, best to stay out of it.  But for the first time I didn’t stay out of it; I dug a little deeper into their finances and how things were going.  After some initial hesitation and skepticism on my part, I began to look at reverse mortgages with them.  To make a long story short, they got the reverse mortgage, and I embarked on a career.

Today I travel all over New England doing reverse mortgages for people like my parents, and for people with different circumstances than my parents.  I make a point of continually networking with elder law attorneys, long term care specialists, financial planners, tax advisors, and federal, state and local agencies, because I want to be not just a reverse mortgage specialist, but a trusted resource for my senior clients.  Also, I recognize that reverse mortgages don’t usually happen in a vacuum; they’re part of your overall retirement plan.  So whether you need a financial planner in the Boston area or an elder law attorney in Bar Harbor, ME, or a foundation contractor in Portsmouth, NH, chances are good that I’ll know one.  And if I don’t know one, I’ll find one.  Please take a look at the “Research & Links” page of this web site – you’ll find more than reverse mortgages there.  And if you have a great web site or resource that I should know about, feel free to drop me a line.

It is the intent of this web site to provide you with clear, accurate information regarding reverse mortgages that will help you during your decision-making process.  However, I am always available by phone at 1-207-332-9998 or toll-free at 1-866-442-4245 to talk with you, your son or daughter, your lawyer, your financial advisor, or your next door neighbor about a reverse mortgage.  No question is too minor, so if you don’t find the answer on this web site or its links, please feel free to call even if you’re not sure about anything yet.
